How Wochentopf works

Everything important on one page.

Planning the week

Under “Week” you see seven days with the meals you choose with the buttons above the week — portions, eating style, preferences, restrictions and energy requirement are set there too. Tap an empty slot, search for a dish or pick a shortcut such as “Leftovers”, “Delivery” or “Frozen pizza”. “Roll the week” fills every empty slot with varied dishes. Sides that are part of the meal — dumplings and red cabbage with the roulades — come along automatically and can be swapped, dropped or set to “ready-made” in the slot. “In stock” marks what is already in the house: stays in the plan, not on the list. The arrows switch the calendar week. If you run several weeks side by side — say for the grandparents — add a second plan in the settings and switch between plans at the top of the week page; every plan has its own portions and meals, eating style and, if you like, its own energy requirement.

Finding dishes

The catalogue filters by category, diet, time and season and searches by name or ingredient. Every dish has ingredients, a method and a tip. From the dish page you can plan it straight into a day. Every recipe lists possible allergens derived from its ingredients — that does not replace reading the packaging: you have to check allergies and intolerances yourself. Eating style, preferences and restrictions (low carb, keto, gluten-free …) are set above the week or in the settings — with notes on when to check with a doctor.

Nutrition and calories

Every catalogue recipe shows energy, protein, fat, carbohydrates, sugar, fibre and salt per portion — estimated from the ingredient list with the Bundeslebensmittelschlüssel (BLS 4.0) of the Max Rubner-Institut. The week page shows calories per day and person as a small chart; set up a profile via “Energy requirement” above the week and you get a reference line — one per plan. Own dishes, free text and placeholders have no values, such days are marked “?”. All of it is a rough guide, not lab values and not medical advice.

Your own dishes

Under “My dishes” you create your own recipes. A name and ingredients are enough — the ingredients land on the shopping list when the dish is in the week.

Shopping

The shopping list adds up every ingredient of the week, scaled to your portions, and sorts them by supermarket aisle. Every line says by when it is needed. Tick off while shopping, hide what you already have, add your own items. Whatever you mark “always in the house” with the house icon only appears collapsed, in every week. If you are not shopping for the whole week, pick “until Wednesday” or single dishes at the top — quantities follow the selection and the rest sits collapsed below, nothing disappears. At the bottom sits a rough cost estimate: typical shelf prices, counted in whole packs, once at discounter and once at supermarket level. Not a live price comparison — prices change weekly and differ between stores.

Printing

Under “Print” the weekly plan and shopping list are laid out as A4 pages for the fridge door.

Your data

Everything is stored in your browser (IndexedDB and localStorage). There is no account and no server that knows your plan. Under “Settings” you can download a backup file, import it on another device or delete everything. Clearing the browser storage clears the plan too — so back up first.
