Method

    Beat the butter with the sugar and vanilla sugar until fluffy, beat in the eggs.

    Stir in the flour and baking powder alternately with the milk.

    Bake golden in a greased waffle iron.

    Bring the cherries and juice to the boil, thicken with slaked cornflour; whip the cream; serve together.
